Disaster Preparedness for Persons with Mental Health Needs

The CAFE TA Center has just published a new resource to help individuals with mental illnesses be prepared to take care of themselves in the event of a natural or man-made disaster. Disasters can be extremely disruptive, challenging and trauma-inducing for anyone. For those with mental health needs, losing access to services and supports can make things even more difficult. That’s why creating a plan before a disaster occurs is so important.
